With more than 12 feet of snow per year, McCall has always been a winter playground as well as a summer paradise. Less than 15 minutes from Whitetail, you’ll find wonderful powder skiing at Brundage Mountain, a local favorite that receives more snowfall annually than Sun Valley or Vail.
Nordic Skiing. Within Whitetail, you’ll discover five miles of groomed trails meandering through the community, perfect for Nordic skiing and snowshoeing to the lodge for a nice, warm drink. Many more miles of Nordic trails can be found at nearby Ponderosa State Park, McCall Golf Course and Little Ski Hill.
Alpine Skiing. With nearly 400 inches of snow per year, it's no wonder Ski Magazine says McCall's Brundage Mountain Resort has "the best powder in North America." Peaking at 7,640-feet, Brundage Mountain offers a vertical drop of 1,800 feet and 1,300 acres of skiable terrain, with guided cat ski trips available on an additional 19,000 acres of backcountry in Payette National Forest. It offers three chair lifts, two tow lines, and runs that range from expert to beginner. Temptation, the longest run at Brundage, is over two miles long.
Snowshoeing. For a peaceful walk through Idaho's winter wonderland, Whitetail Club provides members with the option of snowshoe rental. Whether you spend a full day in the mountains or an afternoon hike through the grounds, snowshoeing is an ideal way to explore.
Snowmobiling. If adrenaline is more your speed, then snowmobiling offers a great opportunity to explore the views in and around Whitetail Club. Hop on and enjoy the ride as you cruise through more than 500 miles of groomed trails in the area.
